I think reviewing papers is really a very difficult job. One of the reasons for the biases that people have noticed, you know, that were, I think for most of my career, I unquestionably benefited by being a Berkeley author. And we need to recognize that. The idea that it's an objective evaluation and that you can somehow determine a ranking of papers are nonsense.
