The Importance of Thinking About Policy

I'm generally pretty adverse to subsidies and government programs and handouts. They tend to reward less productive enterprises, almost like a definition. So adding subsidies to an unprofitable industry will drag people out of those jobs that are profitable. We're already kind of nearish full employment. There's no need in employment-wise for that. Almost every Australian who wants a job right now has got a job. The whole made in Australia thing. I got to love making stuff here.
