The Biden administration is trying to increase domestic production of semiconductors. The CHIPS Act will spend around $40 billion in incentivizing more manufacturing in the US. Apple, AMD and Vidya are some of TSMC's biggest customers. Unless they change their plans, world's highest volume chips will continue to be produced in Taiwan.
