Lumen's Flatbread Emoji
Sebastian developed a proposal for a flatbread emoji, a flat type of cornbread. A new emoji must also be visually distinct from all others. Unicode wanted a new image but the designers he'd been working with didn't have time to help before the submission deadline. The design was approved and although the flatbread's not available on Facebook or WhatsApp yet, it has landed on other platforms which means that Lumen tells me it's now available to half of the world's population.
