The Impact of Sexual Harassment on Women
For Delhi's middle class young men, Evthi Visigna is just a bit of fun. In urban neighborhoods with high levels of sexual harassment, women are far less likely to seek outside employment. If sexual assault is regarded as bad as death, victims may keep quiet. 73% of survivors in Bangladesh remain silent. Many women I interviewed abandoned opportunities to study because they were scared of going to Delhi.
