How to Buy Control of a Bank in China

In 2002, Shenzhen Development Bank had a bad loan ratio of about 30%. The Chinese banking system at that time was very weak because of years of lending to customers or businesses which were not in the position to pay back the loans. SMP is an American and international credit rating agency. They estimated in 2002 that the total amount of bad loans in the Chinese banking system was about half-trilling dollars. Now if their estimate had come true, we were just gone to this point 5% bad loan ratio - still considered high by international standard.
