I honestly don't understand what plausible thing China is going to do with the use of physical force near America's borders. I mean, it could form military alliance with Mexico or Canada. Why would it do that? Well, as an historical matter, it's because of World War II. And the subsequent perception that we were in a global struggle with communism. So your concern is actually not what it's going to do in its realm per se. You don't think that America has vital interests in preventing it from throwing its way around a little there?"
