The Origins of Cave Paintings
There are very few representations of human figures, almost none, in the earliest cave paintings. They do bear the marks, strange marks of human presence in the form of hand prints. And it's not only paintings that have been found in those caves, they've also found bone flutes from 30,000 years ago. So we have from the earliest traces of ourselves as a species, we have narratives and we have music and we have images. We can judge from the images that they're among the greatest works of art ever created.
