How to Develop a Sentence Writing Routine for Upper Elementary Students
The first thing that I would encourage you to do is to incorporate routines into your writing block. There are really two routines that I think are pretty important for upper elementary. And they're especially great if you have students who struggle with writing complete sentences or struggling with writing in general. A sentence writing routine, what this could look like on a practical level, is spend the first five minutes of your writing block and kind of treat it like a warm up to your writing lesson.
