I don't know what the breakdown financially for Tesla is right now, but we could certainly look back in time and say when free supercharging for life was offered in the very early days. That's been phased out. It can be quite expensive now to charge a supercharger depending when and where. The value is actually in the protocol, the uptime and protocol, not the connector. But here's the thing, there is competition and there is investment. And also again, it's a timing issue.
With Ed's take on the future of Tesla's North American Charging Standard from the last discussion episode aging extremely poorly, the gang reopens the discussion about EV charging. Plus, Kirsten's participation in a new show on MAX, Alex's visit to a carless community, an odd automated driving survey and much more.
