In an organization that is fundamentally based on implicit competition, it will select people who are more. If you let even one B player on the team of A players, they all become B players because a B player is basically someone who competes over status. And in implicit competition, that's very much the case. In most cases, organizations are a mix of both,. Very rare that you have something that's absolutely in one and absolutely not in the other. But of course, the concentration of explicit versus implicit, it varies a lot based on, based on the industry.
