But many of them found the strength or the resolve to carry on. We see the same thing to day with some hasitic jews, whose leader they thought was the messiah, and who died in ten nineties. They were totally devastated by this, because they expected him to rule and set up the kingdom. But their movement is thriving as much as ever.
