One Direction achieved what the Beatles are rolling stones, Goldplay nor Mumford and Sons could achieve with their first body of work. More than 10,000 people were estimated to have turned up to see One Direction's first live TV performance in the US. A DVD of the album, which was released in May 2012, sold over 1 million copies in just three months. Sarven Katetra said there were so many fans outside of the One Direction recording studio that the street had to be shut down.
