When she got the letter before action, simron didn't buckle. She doubled down. Her lawyers argued something pretty extraordinary. They accused kirat of grooming her younger cousin while she was still at school. The letters are very clearly victim blaming,. basically a loyally way of saying, you asked for it. You knew what was happening all the time. And if i was her, honestly, i think i'd be pretty close to giving up. Because despite amr and yer's help, kirat seemed no closer to holding simron to account. Almost two years after the confession, the police investigation was going nowhere. And simron had come out all guns blazing.
