The Pros and Cons of Being a Highly Sensitive Person
When highly sensitive people are hungry, they get angry. They often take out their frustrations on whoever they love the most and whoever's closest to them. These folks perform at their peak when they're in private. In a high-stakes situation such as a presentation in front of their boss, they're likely to choke and perform really poorly. Being highly sensitive isn't a disorder. There isn't a medication for it. It's just something that unfortunately, because we're not like most people, they tend to worry that something is wrong with them. And so about 20% of the population, once again, is highly sensitive.
