Uber and Lyft were so successful in pulling people off of public transit because it's not a pleasant experience for most folks. We have to do better, but we should be doubling down on that strategy and how to do that better. A guy named Alex Roy has this idea called universal basic mobility. Where you sort of pay everybody a basic income so that they can, they're freed up to, to do other things. But his idea is instead of that, why don't we come up with an idea for universal basic mobility? So that everybody has access to truly equitable, reliable, safe options that work for them.
