The Three Kings of Nazareth
The three kings in their homage were increasingly seen as a confluence of the various currents and religious directions in the world into one principle. Those who at that time, when this legend took on such a form, saw in the Christ principle not merely a power which had intervened in the development of humanity, but they saw in the being which incarnated itself in Jesus of Nazareth a cosmic power. This became possible for him because he tried to penetrate with his whole soul into the deep symbol that lies enclosed in the three kings who offered their gifts to Jesus Christ. For this is how the world appeared to the esoteric Christian in the early days.
