The Legacy of Augustine
In about 597 AD, Augustine with these 40 other so guys gets sent. He was an abbot in Rome and known for being good at sacred scripture. They get all the way over to France and he finds a pagan king who will allow them to preach. The rest of England ends up converting by this missionary impulse that Augustine has.
