The Power of Self-Forgetfulness
"I think of my own wife down here, she's so loving and it comes out of a real deep authentic place in her life," he says. "If you compliment her on that, the odds are she'll just look at you a little bit like, well of course, isn't everybody else like that? No, everybody else is not." Bonhoeffer called it a self-forgetfulness: They hardly notice their own deed and rarely remember it.
