Deep learning can model these very challenging problems. Most of the problems that it's really good at are things that, historicaly, have been very hard to solve with a computer or traditional computing techniques. For example, there's a group, again, at amazon, that published a series of papers on using deep learning to improve forecasting under uncertainty. And they showed that it does, you know, meaningfully better than traditional forecasting techniques.
