Ribbon Wards

Ribbon wards are variations of ring and cylinder habitats that base their size arond the minimum gravity acquired for their purpose. They can be far bigger than conventional one g habitats using the same construction materials. These may be common as an outer ring around planets where they would work as a spaceport and launch systems. Ribbon wards might also be commonly used for space farms, where lower gravity is probably sufficient for plants and economics,. perforce cheaper and weaker holes. Civilizations adapted to lower gravity might perfer ribbon wards as prim habitats. See also, cylinder habitat, ring habitat, space elevator ring habitat.
