The structure that they put up in centrefield really did ruin the experience, beause when i went as a kid, you would take public transit right to the back door of oakland colosseum. It was just such a better experience than candlestick. I think without that structure, you could have done the angel stadium, the coffin stadium thing where you don't need a new ball park. Just renovate the hell out of it. There was potential there, but the raiders screwed it up. That's my take. Nobody tried harder than those guys. They tried on the field, and they tried to make the fans happy in the ball park. So that stuff matters
