Is There a Connection Between Acquisition and Worship?

Worship is always about seeking that connection. An acquisition, you're working the opposite way where you may be wanting to bridge that connection but instead of you losing yourself, you actually want that thing you've acquired lose its own identity and become you. So it operates in the opposite direction, i think, of worship. The move towards design for social impact is actually trying to bridge the distance between social status and human connectedness. And because design has this unique super power, they are the best position to make that changed value systems real to people.
