Patriarchy and the Cultural Status of Men

Dr Alice Evans: Patriarchy hurts men you know boys get bullied for being effeminate they may be reluctant to admit weakness and yet help for depression. So what I'm trying to say here is we need to distinguish between welfare and cultural status there may be lots of ways in which a man might be badly off in terms of welfare but still give both still seen as the tough provider.
