Index Fund Investing Returns Outperform the Market 70 % of the Time
The first stay in my mba class, and although i graduated with an economics degree a hundred years ago, i didn't get my mb a in finance till later in life. Active fund managers, those at pick and choos stocks, typically under perform the unmanaged indexes 30 % of the time every year. But index fund investing returns out perform that of stock pickers 70% of the time, year over year. And so i switched my investment style, got rid of many of the stocks and devised a diversified portfolio.
