There was this consistency in demonizing the republican woman even after she had left the front. Many women were executed unlawfully, buried in masqueries. I also know that there was a lot of women whose children were taken from them and then raised within either orphanages or within nationalist families. They don't have the space to speak about their experiences because they are neglected.
