Last year, an engineer at Google named Blake Lemoine claimed it was most of the tech community claimed it wasn't. It forced us all to ask, what is sentience? And I think that's, you know, relates closely to what does it mean to be human? He says consciousness is what differentiates us from mostly every other species. The main character in his book on Federer Journey is Joe, an AI scientist who wants to create robot consciousness.
