The National Institute of Clinical Excellence have published guidelines on reducing the risk of hospital acquired VT and over 16-year-olds. And there's a very, very small section regarding lower limb immobilization. So all they really say is that we should consider pharmacological VT prophylaxis using either lumlequic, heparin or fundoparano, sodium. Interestingly, there's not actually any recommendations with regards to whether you could use an oral agent such as a rivoxaban.
