The Most Influential Thing About Shockley's Racism
William Shockley funded a professor chair for him at Stanford. Instead of using that to tell people about electronics engineering, he uses this to just spout Nazism basically like 24 seven out of Stanford. He convinced Arthur Jensen of a hereditary and ideas about race and IQ. And Jensen then produces this 100 plus page article for the Harvard Education Review arguing that compensatory education had failed. It triggered a new age of arguments for segregationists. One that persists more or less to this day.
