The Rise and Fall of Richard the Lionheart

The next king taking over from his dad is Richard the first Richard the Lionheart in 1189 and he ruled until 1199. He didn't expect to be king, but he had a few brothers who died before him and that cleared the way to the throne for him. We shouldn't shall I say lionize him too much. He was a person who had all sorts of depth to him. So we shouldn't give him the crown of a saint. His sons were always in rebellion against him.
