How Did Bubbles and Crashes Come From the Different Traditions?

David Weinberger: I see bubbles and crashes as a really neat interdisciplinary project. He wrote an earlier book on electric vehicles in the first decade or so of the 20th century, and you've also done some important work preserving the records of the dot com boss to the first decade of this century. So for me, I realize actually both books in a sense were sort of social science history. It is the choice of internal combustion, an instance of path dependent technological choice where perhaps the best technology didn't win.
