The Importance of Keeping Host Body of Lives

I think the only thing it shuts off is your ability to continue to search the mind like hard drive. If you've already downloaded everything, then you don't need to keep the body. But if you need to constantly act and plug in to the drive to get more info, then you need to keep those host body of lives. Does anybody have to see if the room they're keeping them in is like a really, really, really large version of the fridge from Crystal Skull? It's completely not helping.
