The Problems of Migration but and Refugees
Spanish region of Catalonia has come up with a novel way to look at the problem of depopulation of its villages. New scheme is aiming to address that by inviting refugee families to live in villages where there are fewer than 500 people. Ahmed Basiri, his wife Najat and their three children are the latest residents to move to this village as part of a one-year project called Opportunity 500. The family fled only to endure hardship for eight years living in refugee camps in Beirut.
