Steve Reinemann Steps Down as CEO of PepsiCo
In 2006, you were named CEO of PepsiCo when Steve Reinemann stepped down. You mentioned to me earlier in this interview that a week before that happened, you would not have imagined that that would be the case. But I mean, you must have had some inkling that you were among those being considered. It's interesting and this may be a surprise to most people. There was no point that the potential candidates were told that there was going to be a CEO succession because Steve was still young.
