i was most struck, listening to that case, by the clear sense of dissociation from feeling or emotion. As an actor, i could hear that they were not connected to feeling while discussing this really tragic case. And yet it loops me right back to ampathy, because i always think that at their best, they're teachable. We can make them walk in some one else's shoes and understand why we do what we do.
