How to teach synthesizing is not something you can simulate in the laboratory very quickly. i think it has to be a inner interaction, a poiography, between the teacher and the particular interests and inclination of students. People spend so much time on social media and on the web, but it's so wasted. I do think that arts education is the best education. It's under terrible pressure now in this country. We're going to have to really reorgent ourselves to get away from test mania in thi society.
