The Rise of Landlords Demanding an End to Eviction Moratoriums
Last month, landlords disrupted a city council meeting in Oakland to demand an end to the cities of eviction moratoriums. Organized groups that represent property owners like the California Apartment Association have been doing everything they can to influence public officials. "We've just seen across all avenues that are available to us an increased level of activity," says Russell Lowery, executive director of the California Rental Housing Association.
