South Korea's Role in Countering the PRC

South Korea is very strategically important to all sides. China views South Korea as a wedge between the US and Japan on one side and South Korea on the other. So, it has cultivated South Korea's nationalist sentiment against Japan for historical reasons. Now we have the right leader in present noon who basically realized China's playing South Korea against US-led alliance in North East Asia. And also, he stood up to China.
