Don't Give Your Character a Want
Many people think their characters don't want anything and that's who they want their characters to be especially emerging writers. To let your character have a want is to take back that character's agency and power to take back a sense of worth. Women are enculturated not to want we're enculturated to surface everybody else's wants as the safe way to exist in the world.
