Philopolymos in Greek is a man fond of war. When he may enjoy peace without dishonor or harm, he chooses war. Have you known anybody like that? Maybe not with war, but maybe with business or some other pursuit. Overclearchus just as one spends upon a loved one, or upon any other pleasure, so he wanted to spend upon war,. such a lover he was of war.
