The Broken Narrative

Our story begins with two motor cycle taxis headed through the forest in the democratic republic of congo. More and more women are emerging from ting in the forest to report that they were gangraved by rebels in a mass assault. We just happened to be doing this research in the same region where this absolutely horrifying attack had taken place eight months before. It's there, right there, when the story transitions from laura heaton's story about riding on motor cycles to context and background here. The broken narrative is a handy way to integrate information into a story.
