The Importance of Shared Language in Marketing

I think the founders speak a different language than heads of marketing do. I think that marketers have shot herself in our own feet by labeling everything that we do in marketing as its own different thing. The more that you can, as a head of marketing, think of your founder as an additional stakeholder that you need to build shared language and shared. It's so silly. Well, and God help you if your CEO is an ex-marketer like mine. Even worse. But there's actually, but there's positives, you know, there's positives to it too.
