Is Open AI Really a Monoculture or an Alternative to Open AI?
I think it's productive to actually get to a place where there could be a variety of different ais that people could use rather than a monoculture maybe I'm too optimistic in the market but my general sense is at least in the US with the First Amendment it's going to be very hard to to outlaw AI that is having the wrong beliefs. The building an alternative to open AI feels like a massive opportunity and as much as a it's somewhat someone is going to do it right. There are all these kind of entrenched modes where not only can the legacy orgs maintain this asymmetric advantage but they can steal back the design, he says.
