The Rise of Audiobooks

I just think it's a very interesting way of looking at our work given the rise of audio for example one of my favorite audio bits is World War Z we say Z Americans say Z World War Z the oral history of the zombie war. That book was a real hit and there's a movie and everything but the book the audio drama is completely different to the movie with Brad Pitt and againcompletely different to the book so I think these types of adaptations are just fascinating. It took me a long time to write that first novel and to then actually perhaps also to kind of get the creative distance from it myself to see how to take it apart and rebuild it as a different thing.
