The Consensus on Durability of Carbon Storage

There's still not a lot of consensus around how we define durability around storage. We're not going to get a line and say 100 years is enough below that, he says. If it's shorter term, like decades, that doesn't mean it can't count as CDR,. But it does mean that there's a liability that's created. It also might mean that if we have incentives or thinking about costs...we really want to be thinking in dollars per ton per year of storage.
