Is There a Gender Difference Between Adjectives and Nouns?
There is no grammatical gender ofnoun in english. However, there is with adjectives. We do assign it a non grammatical gender in many cases. Frumpy, for instance, is used much more often of women than it is of men. But we also have words like actress and things that we regard as archaic now, like poetess. An actress itself seems to be slowly juson your way out. Same thing with authoress. Was around for a while, andv just become author.
