I think that it's wonderful that you're being careful and scared. Don't just trust people. Proceed with caution proceed responsibly. Do you get hate mail from people still in the community? Yes not much but it happens. When I was starting to leave like like early days of me coming out I would get personally a lot of hate mail like letters delivered to my home angry phone calls all of that. It's very rare now once in a while get and it's usually like this weird like encouragement mail like you're so cool and special imagine how much more cool and special you would be if you were religious again.
