Architecture as a Medium of Change
As technologies started to play a more critical role in our lives, they began to displace those systems that a traditional form of architect might have relative remit over. So if I wanted to say relevant as a designer, I just saw that the site in which I should be operating was no longer physical sites in cities but was the conditions of the network. It was trying to make work that would exist across this more planetary conception of site and place. And inevitably that meant I started writing stories and making films because these were mediums that lent themselves more to the pace of change.
