Hypothelmus plays a role in when you have certain things going wrong in the body, like an infection or too much inflammation. The hypothalamus keeps the body temperature at somewhere between 36 and 37 to degree Celsius. If you throw certain chemical mediators at it, it will create its own prostaglandin. And that will bump up the set point, which can then lead to a temperature. This is where paracetamol has a role - but not all cox inhibitors are NSAIDs. So let's now talk about the cerebellum for a little bit. Cerebellum is that small brain located at the back of the big brain.
In this full length episode, Dr Matt & Dr Mike discuss the brain! Walking through structures including the different lobes, cerebellum, brainstem, basal nuclei, hypothalamus, and more!
