The Importance of Socioeconomic Collapse

A civilisation that collapse is really bad if you elon musk, right? If your money goes, your private jet goes and nothing works. But for rural populations in particular, for the bottom half of society, maybe even higher in agrarian societies, societal collapse doesn't mean the end of the world. We've got to be quite careful when we think about societal collapse. It means a bad thing. And we mustn't get ourselves trapped by, thinking that this is bad. These are great catastrophes.
